Life inside a dumpster

For the past month or so, I have been living inside a dumpster. No, I am not talking about the unclean state of my room; I really am. I was working very hard, burning the midnight oil, when my wife pointed out that I did not need to do that since we had electric lamps in the house. So I tried burning the electric lamps, but for some reason they didn't produce so much light as oil.

Anyway, I had so much work to do that I had to work through the nights. That's because our maid servant was on vacation and someone had to clean the house, the utensils, change sheets, change the baby's nappies, walk the dog... Wait a minute, we don't have a baby or a dog. Damn the neighbors!!!

That should explain my absence from this blog. I did NOT fall in the fountain once again, thank you very much for asking. I am not so clumsy anymore. That was a long time back and I was only 26 at that time!!!

Finally, my wife could take it no more. "What's the point of you living in the house when all you do is compete with your midnight oil for precious Oxygen?", she rightly asked. I tried to explain that, unlike the oil, I did not produce Carbon Monoxide, but she was not in a receptive mood. She threw me out of the house and I now live in a dumpster. I plan to go and woo her back soon. As soon as I finish this project...
